Collaborative Work with Professionals

Dr. Surridge frequently collaborates with a range of professionals to provide the most effective care. Her close partnerships include:

  • Educational Psychologists and Schools: Working alongside educational professionals to support children’s development and well-being in school settings.

  • Health & Social care Professionals: Collaborating with Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Paediatricians and Social Workers to support all-round care for children.

A Strong Foundation in Childcare

Before becoming a Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Surridge trained and qualified as a Nursery Nurse. Holding an NNEB qualification in Childcare and Education, Dr. Surridge’s early training focused on care and education for babies and children up to age eight. The skills gained during this time, such as detailed observation techniques, were not covered in subsequent psychology training but are invaluable in her current practice. These transferable skills enhance her ability to understand, monitor and support children more effectively.
